At Shakya Learning Co., LLC, we believe every learner deserves support tailored to their unique path. Founded by an experienced special education teacher with a background as a paraeducator, our mission is rooted in compassionate, one-on-one attention that fosters both academic growth and self-confidence.
We specialize in working with students with learning differences—including Specific Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Autism, Developmental Delays, and Other Health Impairments—using evidence-based strategies and a calm, nurturing environment. Our approach is inspired by the resilience of succulents: strong, adaptable, and thriving in their own time and way.
Meet Your Tutor
Welcome to Shakya Learning Co! I am originally from Kansas City, MO. I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communication Science and Disorders at Rockhurst University. After graduating, I started working as a Paraeducator in a local school district. After 5 years working as a Paraeducator, I decided to pursue an education degree because I really enjoyed working with students in the classroom and making a positive difference in their education. I received my Master’s of Science degree in Education: Special Education K-12 at Rockhurst University. I began teaching the fall after graduation. Shakya Learning Co., LLC began after 3 years of experience in the classroom as a certified teacher.
